Playmobil Advent Calendars Are A Great Early Christmas Present For Kids!

Looking for an alternative to the usual Christmas Advent Calendar?

The ones with only pictures are almost a complete thing of the past, for only 99p you can get quite good chocolate ones, I have a Peppa Pig one for my daughter and a Thomas The Tank Engine for my son, I got both from Aldi and they can't wait to open up and have been fair warned that if they are naughty then they will NOT get the chocolate if they are naughty!

Although these type of calendars are great, once Christmas day comes the box is thrown in the bin and the chocolates have all been eaten, for a bigger investment the Playmobil Forest Winter Wonderland Calendar will be played with all throughout the festive season and can be a brilliant little nativity set that will look fab as part of your decorations, not just this year but every year from now on.

Some Tips!

LITTLE TIPS!!!

If you have 2 children then you can save some money and just buy one, one child can open the even days and the other can open the odd days, they will still love it and both get to help put the pieces on to the scene but this will save you a lot of cash!

A little tip for parents with not so perfectly behaved child/children, open each new days door at the END of the day, that way you can say to them first thing in the morning "if you are good all day then you can open the box later", add this to the good old "Santa won't come unless you are good" and you may have the best behaved little boy/s, girl/s in the UK for 24 days in December!!!

GOOD POINTS
  • Lasts forever as a Christmas decoration that kids will love to play with year after year
  • Can be used as a Christmas Nativity decoration or just play with them as toys
  • Brilliant alternative for children that cannot have chocolate
  • Very well made, will not fall apart even with kids playing with it
  • Great fun!!!
BAD POINTS

  • Price, although it is definitely worth the money for what you get, if you are used to buying a 99p calendar then this is about 14 times the price.
  • Older children may find some of the days toys a bit boring like the trough for the hay and the little logs for the squirrels so sit on.

    Customer Reviews

The Winter Forest edition was only out last year so there are only a few reviews, here are some of them including the bad points as well as the good.

Felix stated that this gave hours of fun instead of giving a chocolate calendar that only has a quick minute of eating then it's gone.

Killerbunny was impressed overall but not happy that some days the items were a bit too boring. Happy customer Stu from Kendal buys toy advent calendars for his grandkids every year as they love them and he is a big fan of the Playmobil brand

Mother of 2 Virginia has been buying these for 3 years now due to the detail and amount of play that they can get out of them.

Playmobil have been making advent calendars for a few years now, the Winter Forest is just one of the most recent. A very popular one is the Christmas post office which really does give you that "Christmasy feeling", it is quite similar to the Winter Forest in the way it looks and has amazing little features like a post box with little letters that you can post into it and a working mini stamp with a picture of Santa on it.
If you or your partner work in the Police force, or if your child just loves Police then the Police Alarm calendar really looks awesome! You need batteries for it but I think this will definitely be played with for a long time after Christmas and new year is over.
If your son or daughter is into dinosaurs then the dinosaur expedition is a perfect gift for them, my son absolutely loves dinosaurs and has done since he was under a year old, he also loves pirates and there is a fab Treasure Trove calendar, for girls there is Pony Ranch and also Unicorn in Fairy World, I must admit though, I might be getting the post office and winter forest calenders for my kids as they are just so festive looking!
These calendars look so good I imagine that they will be played with far more than a lot of the toys some kids will be getting this year!!!
